Where Don Quixote fought the windmills: empty La Mancha

On our way to Valencia we found ourselves all of a sudden in La Mancha.
That sounds a bit dim but that's a bit of a drawback when you use your SatNav all the time and the old skool map is good in highways but not in naming the different regions they cross.

So La Mancha, or, more correct: Castillia-La Mancha. A wide, open plain with yellow cornfields. After a mountainous area covered in trees it was a nice change and overall we very much liked the feeling of space it gave. We did see the modern time windmills too, yes. Quite a lot of them. Windy spot, La Mancha. Not one of them worked.
