Het mooiste weekend van het jaar staat voor de deur: de Ballroom weekender in het Bishopsgate Institute in Londen. Twee dagen lang van ‘s morgens vroeg tot laat in de middag dansles krijgen en trainen op techniek.
We weten het programma al: zaterdag tango en cha cha, zondag slow fox (yess!) en rumba.
We zijn er nog niet. Eerst moeten we naar Engeland.
Met de tram, een sprintertje, een Intercity, dan de Thalys naar Brussel en vandaar met de Eurostar naar Londen St. Pancras.
Ik zou je graag alle foto’s willen laten zien maar ik heb problemen met de wifi en het plaatsen van de foto’s. die hou je dus nog tegoed!
Off to the Best Weekend of the Year: the annual Ballroom weekender in Bishopsgate Institute, London. Fourth time and it feels like coming home.
Some pictures of our journey, 6 hrs. from door to door, thanks to the Thalys that wanted us to be on platform half an hour before departure (you tell us why) and the Eurostar which has airport security, gates closing 40 mins. before departure.
With almost 300 km/hr we’re speeding through Northern France, past Calais with all it’s defences against migrants and finally my fav photo moment: the huge clock in the glorious vaulted station of London St. Pancras. I love being back.
